Growing-Up:
Justin participated in a handful of sports as a kid...including Soccer, Diving, and Hockey. His favorite and the one he likes to continue today is Cycling, mainly mountain biking. Justin’s dad got him cycling at a young age and he was soon doing races in many provinces surrounding Manitoba. While doing that he enjoyed being on the track team in High School, mostly running the distance (1500, 3000) and Cross Country events.
Justin's parents realized that he enjoyed singing and had a whole lot of energy to let loose so, one summer they decided to send him to a musical theatre camp in Winnipeg. Soon he was a part of the Junior Musical Theatre Company, putting on many shows in Winnipeg and traveling to the USA. They travelled to Minneapolis, to New York (performing in the Empire State Building and outside of Lincoln Centre) and to Florida (performing in Disney World and Universal Studios). This sent Justin into full force and he knew that performing is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
Prior to graduating grade 12 Justin chose, auditioned for, and got accepted in to Sheridan College for musical theatre. Being the “baby” of his family and yet being the first one to move out of the house was a change that was a big shock. Not only did he leave the house but he moved out of the province and into Ontario.
Justin enjoyed his time at Sheridan, tuning his skills and learning new ones. After graduating his three years at Sheridan he hit the “real world” and has been happily doing what he loves to do ever since. He continues to tone his skills and learn others from all the directors, colleagues, coaches, and teachers that he continues to work with now.
Toronto is where Justin calls his “home base” now, although WInnipeg will always be HOME. He does not spend much time in one place, working in Calgary, Winnipeg, Mississauga, Niagara-On-The-Lake and more.
